Chillingham Castle

One of the eeriest and most atmospheric stays you can have in Northumberland.

Said to be the most haunted castle in Europe, Chillingham Castle is a 900-year-old fortress with a long and bloody history...

Today, you can stay in the restored castle which oozes historic charm and old‑world character. You’ll be surprised to hear the dining hall still doesn't have electricity, so you dine by candlelight as you would in days gone by.

If you’re brave enough, book the grey room. The most haunted room in Europe’s most haunted castle.
