Lambley Viaduct
The elegant sandstone viaduct, with 9 main arches spanning 17 meters and 7 smaller arches spanning 6 meters, crosses the South Tyne river at Lambley. Although it closed in 1976, it was restored between 1995 and 1996 by the North Pennines Heritage Trust, and today stands as a monument to the Victorian engineer Sir George Barclay Bruce.
